The purchase price is not the only cost to consider. If you own your lifts, you must maintain them for safe operation and a long service life. You also pay for repairs when something fails.
Renting can reduce these costs or remove them completely. On a long-term rental you may pay for some maintenance, depending on the terms of your contract. In most cases, though, maintenance is the rental company’s job, and unless the damage is your fault, you will not pay for repairs either.
Ongoing rental fees put some companies off. But maintenance and repair are an ongoing duty of ownership too, and it is one that renters rarely have to worry about.
